As you are testing the Infusionsoft API and you want to confirm various outcomes within Infusionsoft, you'll probably need to use a real, live Infusionsoft account. To do this, we offer Sandbox accounts.

Sandbox Accounts are real Infusionsoft accounts, but they are restricted from sending out emails and are capped at 250 contacts. It is intended to serve as a near-production environment for you to test and finalize your apps and integrations.
